Planning an autumn wedding is a thrill as well as a challenge. Any wedding takes planning and months of preparation, from choosing the dress to ordering the wedding catering. We have some tips to keep in mind when you are planning a fall wedding.
The Season
Since autumn technically starts on the autumnal equinox, which falls on September 22 in 2016 to December 21, when the winter equinox take place, the weather can be anywhere from an Indian summer to a full-blown snowstorm. Once you set the date, look at the almanac so you can make a reasonable guess at the weather that might occur on that date.
Depending on your date, you will have choices to make, including, the colors of the dresses, the types of flowers that would be seasonal, if extra equipment will be needed by the photographer, and what foods the catered wedding dinner should feature to be seasonally appropriate.
Use the Seasonal Tones
Using the colors of the season will lend a warm and cozy feeling to your wedding. If you go with burgundy and chocolate for a mid October date, or silver and pale blue for a December date, your wedding will feel at one with nature.
A Seasonal Meal
Serrano Brothers offers four options for your wedding meal. We think the Platinum Package is an excellent choice for a harvest-time, catered wedding dinner. With beef sirloin medallions in our own zip sauce and wild mushrooms, chicken Marsala bathed in wine and mushrooms, and grilled lamb chops, this package can blend easily with autumn-themed wedding decor. You can also add side dishes that add appropriate color to the plate. We offer roasted red skin potatoes, green beans almandine, buttered corn, and garlic smashed potatoes with gravy.
